From Birse Parish Registers:

 

July 13 1801: Al Nicol in Tillygarmonth had a daughter baptised Barbara. Witnesses Donald and Fras Nicol (Donald and Francis are probably his brothers - see below)

 

August 29 1802:  Alexander Nicol in Tillygarmonth had a son baptised named Peter. Witnesses Al & Francis Nicol (Possible family connection - Al (his father) Francis (his brother))

 

October 7 1804: Al Nicol in Tillygarmonth had a daughter baptised named Jean. Witnesses the congregation

 

February 20 1807: Alexander Nicol in Tillygarmont had a son baptised named George. Witnesses Donald Nicol and John Thaw

Alexr Nicol (6) married to Barb Nivie (5)

Children:  Alexr Nicol (3) Francis (2) Donald (2) Isobel Smith (2)

(Ages are in decades i.e. 6 = between 5- 60 years of age. This would make Alexr Nicol Jnr between 20 - 30 years of age)
