McHardy from Powlair, Birse

Parish Registers referenced for this family are Birse and Durris, Kincardineshire

The family of John McHardy and Ann Ross are resident at Powlair in the Parish of Birse at the time the 1789 List of Inhabitants were compiled.  The 1792 List gives John McHardy's age as 7 (bet 60 and 70) and Ann Ross's age as 5 (bet 40 and 50).

According to these Lists of Inhabitants one can surmise that  John McHardy and Ann Ross had the following children. However because no ages are given this is purely supposition on my part.

In 1789:

In 1790-1791 - John McHardy Jnr and Ann Ross Jnr are listed directly below the above family.
