From 1815 – 1819 List of Inhabitants Francis is living at Glencatt.
In 1822, Francis is still given as residing in Glencatt, but he is now married. His wife’s name is Anderson and they have one daughter Ann given as under 7 years.

Contracted Francis Bowman in this parish and Ann Anderson parish of Coull and after regular proclamations of marriage banns and no objections offered were married Feby 17th before witnesses.

Fras Bowman in Glenchat and his wife Ann Anderson had a child baptised named Ann. James Ewen and Jo Crawford there witnesses. Ann married Robert Turner 16th Nov 1858 at Birse Church (Birse #6). They are listed on the 1871 census as residing at the Boathouse Aboyne. (See 1871 census strays).

Alexander McIntyre is the illegitimate son of Ann Bowman, dau of Francis.

Ann Bowman, daughter of Francis Bowman Ythanside had a bastard baptised named Alexander. The father was James McIntyre.
Ann Anderson died 1863 and given as the widow of Francis Bowman. No death certificate has been located so far for Francis Bowman so he may have died pre-1855.

Alexander Bowman -m- Hellen Thomson 29 March 1856 at Banchory Ternan. (source Marriage Certificate Banchory Ternan #2). Hellen was the daughter of James Thomson farmer, and Isabella Thomson m.s. Daun. Witnesses to the marriage were Shaw Milne farmer Auchabala and William Thomson, servant at the Wicker Inn. (I would be pleased to hear from you if you have connections to this Thomson family.)
